RESTAURANT: Five Guys joins city’s smorgasbord of upscale burger joints

The name of London’s newest burger joint – Five Guys Burgers and Fries – is a bit of a mouthful.

And so are their burgers.

“It’s like Harvey’s and Wendy’s on steroids,” said A.J. Mccallum, of the bacon and cheese burger he sampled.

Five Guys opened this week, and by noon on the first day 100 people had been served and the lineup showed no signs of slowing down.

Five Guys joins the likes of burger specialists Relish, the Works and Bungalow in a city quickly developing a reputation for top-notch burgers.
