Free French fries were being given away at the corner of Talbot and King Wednesday as part of Swiss Chalet’s “Fresh Impressions Tour”. One of three trucks rolling across Canada, the food franchise is showcasing their fries and sauce in a campaign targeting young families and young adults. Swiss Chalet’s (http://www.swisschalet.ca) message is to demonstrate their quality, freshness and variety of menu options.
Doug Milne, vice-president of marketing for Swiss Chalet spoke about the sampling tour that runs throughout August: “Everyone is pretty aware of our iconic brand. We wanted to get out there and let people experience the home-prepared, fresh way we make our fries and our sauces.”
The campaign also includes television and radio spots, a national flyer drop and online engagement using Facebook, Twitter and food bloggers (disclosure: London Dining Review has no connection to the campaign).
